Couldn't Stop Smiling

Last night might not have been "the most dramatic rose ceremony ever" but it was definitely my favorite finale of any bachelor/bachelorette show. I loved Emily on Brad's season and figured he would pick her because it was so obvious that he was obsessed with her from the very beginning. I just always got the feeling that he didn't think he was good enough for her. Who knows? I am sure I will never meet any of them in my life, and if I did I would most likely point, stare, and grab my friends to tell them who was there.

As far as this season goes, I had my favorites. I loved Sean because well he was drop dead gorgeous. In the beginning, I was kind of rooting for Chris until he got all creepy and possessive and weirded me out. I never liked Ari. The way he grabbed her when they kissed was awkward, and his hometown visit was a whole other level of bizarre. I would have been very disappointed if she had chosen him. But, my favorite was Jef. He just seems like the most genuine, funny, kind-hearted person ever, and I was crossing my fingers that he would be the one she chose.

Once his date started and they got into an intense conversation about meeting Ricky, I immediately respected him even more. He wasn't afraid to call her out and be proactive about the situation. He always came across as caring about ALL of Emily and not just making out with Emily. There were two times when I just couldn't stop smiling this season. 1) When Jef read Emily the letter he wrote to her and 2) When he proposed. He just made me feel good inside, and I couldn't stop smiling. Let's not forget that Jef was also hands down the best dressed Bachelor/Bachelorette male contestant ever.

People can hate all they want on Emily, but last night I just felt optimistic about love and reality tv. As far as the pause, I just felt like she was taking a moment to take it all in. That day is so important in your life and you want to be able to remember every moment of it. I would give anything to have mine on tape to watch again. All in all, great season, and I can't wait for Bachelor Pad to remind me how mean people can be to each other.
