Braun's Vindication

I am definitely biased when it comes to this topic considering my son is named after the reigning NLMVP, so it should come as no surprise that I think Brauny should have won the All-Star MVP last night. I will give it to Melky; he had a great game, but his home run didn't even matter. Braun drove in the go-ahead run and made stellar plays in the outfield. My favorite being when he robbed Prince of an extra-base hit.

I pull for Braun to succeed on all occasions because people cannot seem to stop hating on a guy who clearly is a great baseball player. Was my heart broken when news was leaked that he failed a test? Yes.Do I think he cheated? Honestly, no. I just don't think he did. Maybe I am in complete denial, but when I think of juice heads I think of big, beefy guys. Case in point...Barry Bonds. I mean check out his rookie body and check out his San Francisco body. The guy juiced. I just don't believe Braun did it. I don't know what happened, and seeing as though we don't hang out I never will. But in my heart of hearts I think he's innocent. If I am proven wrong, I will accept defeat and move on, but as far as I am concerned his record is clean. His numbers are rock solid, his defense in the outfield is improving, and he's a smart ballplayer. I genuinely like the guy and hope he does well. Screw all the haters screaming he got off on a technicality. If ESPN had done their jobs right, we never even would have heard about any of this and it would be nothing but a fart in the wind. I will let his numbers speak for themselves. According to the media morons and haters, he was supposed to have a down year without Prince "protecting" him. Stats don't lie, and Braun is making a solid run for the NLMVP once again.
